Writing about yourself is awkward even if you’re comfortable in your own skin. I’ll shoot a video soon (written June 25th/10 so bust me up if i don’t meet your criterion of “soon”) about who I am and why I’m firing up a blog.

Well to dig in about me. I grew up in Dryden. A great, small, fun little town in northwest Ontario. I’m pretty sure anyone from there gives the exact same explanation of where it is, myself included… “It’s about half way between Winnipeg and Thuderbay.” I’m referencing Dryden because it shaped me. It’s bush and lakes, small businesses and a big ass paper mill. I grew up enjoying the outdoors and if I could, I’d fill more of my rec time with fishing and hiking. The Regina area doesn’t lend itself to being overly outdoorsy.

I grew up very competitive, I can’t stand losing. This isn’t always a good think but DAMMIT I hate to lose. Whether it’s sports (which I love), board games, goals or a good ol’ fashion challenge you can bet the farm I’ll get dialed in and give it my all. Don’t worry, I’m not “That Guy” when it comes to being competitive. I’ve learned the value of being humble and reserved while keeping that edge, which has served me well.

I’m goal oriented, read a ton and love my family. I have tons of fun while I’m at home with my wife and could spend every minuted with her if I could get away with it… isn’t it funny how ideals are always way more flattering then would be the reality. I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on books I read and can’t wait to share information about the car business. I work for an amazing group of car dealers. I’m interested in sharing knowledge about buying cars from a bit of an “insider” perspective and my hope is it’s eventually popular enough eventually help multiple folks with their purchases.

So obviously there’s more “about” and honestly, the best way to get to know more about me is likely to follow me on twitter.com @mitch_4. Get on there, send me an @ message and lets have a conversation.

Thank you for swinging by my website and it’s incredible that you’ve made it here…. I love the web!
